Episode Summary

The update covers political turbulence with an FBI probe allegedly spying on Republicans, labor unions siding with the GOP over the shutdown, and growing criticism of Democrats’ leadership and voter priorities. Trump is spotlighted for tough-on-crime stances, foreign policy deals with South Korea and Japan, and efforts to strengthen U.S. energy and tech independence through AI and rare earth projects. The economy shows mixed signals—rate cuts, job losses, and a sharp EV downturn—while global stories highlight instability in South America, the Middle East, and Europe’s energy struggles. Cultural and entertainment notes touch on church scandals, failed films, and vaccine-related controversies, closing with irony as Trump receives a golden crown from South Korea.

Episode Notes

IN POLITICAL NEWS

1) I'll be honest here. I don't know where this is headed. But the FBI's "Arctic Frost" probe may have spied on up to 160 Republicans in Congress and elsewhere. So first question: will there be any follow up? Second question, given that Ed Martin, the Administration's "pardon attorney" sees "serious difficulties" with the auto-pen pardons, will those be facing scrutiny as well? Meanwhile, a grand jury has been empaneled in Florida, apparently looking into the Mar-a-Lago raid.

2) The nation's largest labor union has sided with Republicans demanding an end to the SpewMore Shutdown. Big loss for the DemoKKKrats. Harry Enten, the Communist News Network's Chief Polling Pimplemeister, said, oh my gosh, the Republicans have gotten more popular during the SpewMore shutdown. Meanwhile, states are trying to sue to keep the SNAP payments up for da po, rather than lobbying their evil DemoKKKrat senator Pusbubble to do his job. This ends abruptly when payments to da po end. By the way, take a wild guess at who DOUBLED SNAP payments. Oh, and courtesy of Jeff Childers, want to know what is eligible for SNAP at Whole Foods?

In other words, as Childers says, the public is now talking bout SNAP in a way the DemoKKKrats hate.

3) For over a year, I've been saying that the DemoKKKrat Party is the Party of Terror. Now a lib podcaster agrees with me, warning that if libs don't get in line with the new terror character, they will be the next targets. As it was with Lenin.

4) President Trump issued a warning to cities that he will send in the National Guard if there is rising crime. "We're going to have safe cities," he insisted.

5) The DOJ also warned that states that did not clean up voter rolls would be punished.,That makes the retreat over Kollyfornia's attempt to redistrict all the more important. If Kollyfornian's cannot change and become decent people, we shall have to impose decency on them.

6) David Blackmon relates a little polling segment on the Communist News Network showing that views on climate change have moderated significantly ("not a problem" say most people) and that those rating it #1 in voting priorities? 2% This is about the same as it's always been.

7) The Trump administration is intensifying efforts to investigate fascist antifa as a FOREIGN terrorist organization.

8) Stop me if you've heard this one: a truck full of infected monkeys crashed in Mississippi, releasing simians infected with Covid and sexually transmitted diseases. I guess the experiment of getting monkeys to wear condoms failed. Unless you were these Monkees.

9) Speaking of an infested species, the Amazing Zohran is now under DOJ investigation for foreign campaign contributions. Don't tell me---from AIPAC? Perhaps because of Mamdani, voters of all New York---not just New Kabul---have R Elise Stefanek in the lead over sitting DemoKKKrat pencil sharpener Kathy Hock-a-lugie.

IN ILLEGAL CRIMINAL ALIEN NEWS

10) DHS says more than half a million illegal criminal invaders have been deported and over 1.5m have self-deported. Great start. Keep it up.

IN CULTURAL NEWS

11) The White House fired members of the Arts Commission that oversees architecture. So, are these the same people who give us miles and miles of nothing but chrome and glass buildings, with zero character?

12) Just another reason why the church has so little power today. The son of a prominent Indiana pastor has been charged with multiple sex crimes including filming his own parents.

IN ECONOMIC NEWS

13) The Fed cut interest rates by 25 basis points, but will have to do better.

14) New York just canceled its largest battery project.

15) Here is a good piece on Trump's "long game" that "nobody notices," mostly involving securing American rare earth minerals, energy independence, and other foundational efforts. Meanwhile, a new piece on the horrendous damage done by wind turbines was published in Nature and of course the Hoax News ignored it. You want some truth? Can you handle the truth? Here is a line from the report: wind facilities “are recognized as an important driver for losses and degradation of irreplaceable habitats that are important for conservation.” JD Power forecasts EV sales to plummet 60% after subsidies end this month.

16) Amazon is cutting 14,000 jobs in an effort to get leaner.

17) Bill Gates has reversed himself (a little) on "climate change," admits the earth isn't ending, and wants the environmental movement to change tactics. I don't believe lizard man for a minute.

18) NVIDIA and partners are building America's AI infrastructure.

19) Governors, including PA's Josh Shapiro, have signed onto a new agenda of streamlining permits for energy.

20) US home sales haven't budged despite the lowest interest rates in a year. Yes, but mortgage rates are still over 6%, which is double what I paid about 7 years ago. I think they have to go much lower, maybe 4% before we see a real rebound..

21) Qualcomm has entered the AI chip race. And NVIDIA's chips are being made right here in AZ. This means Trump has taken chip making out of Chy-na's orbit.

IN INTERNATIONAL NEWS

22) The slowdown in EVs has left areas of Chile, Argentina, and Bolivia struggling as employment disappears when the mines close.

23) Speaking of EVs, would you look at that? The ChiComs just decided communism needs to be more efficient and they are streamlining (i.e., removing gubment) the process to buy used cars---cuz new ones ain't selling.

24) Argentina's markets celebrated Javier Milei's victory in the midterms.

25) The outskirts of Rio de Janero have become a war zone as the gubment is trying to clean out a drug haven.

26) Reality comes to Mediocre Britain, which has admitted wind power isn't reliable. Wow, really?

27) A state-sponsored Danish TV commercial warns two white people shown on screen to not have sex with each other but with approved brown people.

28) Two years after October 7, a majority of Palestinians back the Hamas Murder Pirates' attack. This is why I have zero---zero---support for Gaza. It should be evacuated, all residents sent to nearby Muslim countries, and Gaza turned to glass. Then salt it.

29) President Trump reached a deal with South Korea to reduce tariffs to 15%, and they will buy military products and natural gas. I didn't get the story soon enough but Japan also agreed to a major trade deal.

IN ENTERTAINMENT NEWS

30) Another leftoid flop, as the biopic about Bruce Springsteen totaled about $23 million globally. It has a budget of $55 million, plus at least $10 million in advertising, and that means that it isn't even half-way toward profitability after what would be its best weekend ever.

31) It's in its third season on Amazon (ok, technically AMC, but I got it through Amazon): "Dark Winds," the cop show set on an Indian rez with Indian police is excellent so far. Interesting is that it appears to be set in the 1970s, hence the older cars. Zach McClarnon is terrific as always in his role of Joe Leaphorn. A little "blame the white man," but mostly non-woke.

32) The peripatetic patrons of poosh, Bon Jovi, couldn't maintain enough "love, peace, and understanding" to make it through one tour. How are they to save the world?

IN MEDICAL NEWS

33) Steven Hatfill, who was an opponent of the vaxxes, was fired from HHS because he, according to HHS, was misrepresenting himself and his office. He says he was trying to prevent a coup against RFK, Jr.

34) A new lawsuit out of TX seeks to force Johnson & Johnson to put warning labels on Tylenol that it has a link to autism.

35) A federal appeals court revived a lawsuit against the military for its 2021 requirement that all service members and civilian personnel get the China Virus vax.

AND FINALLY . . .

36) Irony, anyone? Just a week after the "no kings" protests, the South Korean President gave President Trump a golden crown.
